Chive Yogurt White Bread
The perfect chive yogurt white bread recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- Pre-Dough:
- 100 g Flour
- 100 ml Lukewarm water
- 1 tsp Honey
- 0,5 dice Yeast
- Main dough:
- 500 g Flour
- 300 g Yogurt
- 1,5 tsp Salt
- 1 tsp Sugar
- 3 tbsp Chives fresh or dried
- To sprinkle:
- Sesame, caraway, poppy seeds as desired
- Make a pre-dough from the first 4 ingredients and let it stand for about 3 hours at room temperature. The pre-dough can also stand overnight, which gives the bread a different flavor.
- Put the other ingredients in a bowl, add the finished pre-dough and work everything into a smooth dough. Let the dough rest for 45 minutes.
- Knead the dough again and shape it into a loaf of bread and let it rest for another 45 minutes. Preheat the oven to 200 °.
- Now brush the dough with water and sprinkle with grains as desired. Cut into the bread and put it in the hot oven. Immediately turn the oven down to 170 °. After 20 minutes, spray the bread again with water and bake for another 20-25 minutes
