Kissinger Nut Cookies

The perfect kissinger nut cookies recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 300 g Flour
  • 300 g Ground hazelnuts or almonds
  • 300 g Sugar
  • 1 Pck. Baking powder
  • 2 tsp Cinammon
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 2 Pc. Eggs
  • 250 g Butter

For decoration

  • 150 g Couverture
  • 1 Pck. Walnuts
  • 1 glass Apricot jam / jelly without pieces
  • 1 Pck. Ground hazelnuts
  1. The flour and baking powder are sifted onto the work surface. Mix in the hazelnuts, salt, sugar and cinnamon. Now cut the butter into small flakes and place on the edge. Make a small indentation in the middle and add the eggs.
  2. These ingredients must now be quickly kneaded into a firm shortcrust pastry. If it is well kneaded, it can be put in the refrigerator for about 1 hour.
  3. Roll out the dough on the floured surface to about 3 mm thick and cut out the cookies. I chose hearts, stars, circles and lucky mushrooms. Make sure that two of each variety are cut out (as they will be put together later). Place the biscuits on a baking sheet lined with baking paper and bake at about 175 ° C for about 10 minutes until golden brown.
  4. Now put a dollop of jam / jelly on each of the upturned cookies and place the counterpart of the cookie on top.
  5. Let the couverture soften and put the ground nuts in a bowl. Now the glued cookies can be dipped into the chocolate and then into the nuts as desired. Finally, a piece of walnut can be glued on with a blob of chocolate at a time.
