** Cinnamon Stars **

The perfect ** cinnamon stars ** recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 3 Protein
  • 250 g Powdered sugar
  • 250 g Ground almonds
  • 2 teaspoon Lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon Cinammon
  • 1 pinch Salt
  1. Sieve the powdered sugar into a bowl. Beat the egg whites with the pinch of salt until stiff. Add the sifted powdered sugar and lemon juice while stirring. Remove 4 tablespoons of this foam mass and set aside for brushing.
  2. Add the ground almonds and cinnamon to the foam mixture and mix everything carefully. Now chill the dough for about 1 hour. Roll out the dough on a floured work surface approx. 5-6 mm and cut out stars.
  3. Place the stars on a baking sheet lined with baking paper and brush with the remaining foam mixture. If it is a little too thick, stir with a few drops of cold water.
  4. Place the cinnamon stars in the oven at 150 degrees (top – bottom heat) and bake for about 12-15 minutes without the surface taking on any color. After the baking time, take it out of the oven and let it cool down and store it in a tin. The cinnamon stars taste best after 3-4 days.
