Canarian-style oranges

Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 4 oranges, fully ripe
  • 2 tbsp cane sugar
  • ½ tsp spice mix (five-spice powder) or gingerbread spice
  • 2 tbsp brown rum, Canarian
  • 1 tbsp butter

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

full aroma and simple

Cut the oranges into segments. Place the segments in 6 small ovenproof dishes, brush on the rum, and then sprinkle the sugar. Finally, sprinkle the segments with a few flakes of butter. Bake the oranges in the oven at 200°C (top heat) for about 10 minutes and serve warm. Vanilla ice cream and a dollop of whipped cream are delicious with this dish.
