Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 8 pork schnitzels, thin, or minute steaks
- 500 g bell pepper(s), yellow, green, red
- 1 jar of ajvar
- ½ cup sweet cream
- 3 tbsp gravy
- 600 ml water
- 3 tbsp oil or fat for frying
- salt and pepper
Instructions
Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes
Season the schnitzel or minute steaks to taste and fry briefly on both sides in hot fat. Remove and keep warm wrapped in aluminum foil. Sauté the sliced bell peppers in the frying fat for about 5 minutes, adding a little salt. Pour in water and add the instant gravy. Bring everything to a boil, then add the ajvar and sweet cream. Simmer for another 5 minutes and season to taste. Remove the meat from the foil and let it marinate briefly in the prepared sauce (do not boil, or the meat will become tough). Serve with French fries or rice.
