Buttermilk pancakes, without yeast

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 200 g wheat flour
  • ½ pack of baking powder
  • 200 g buttermilk
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 1 tbsp sunflower oil
  • 1 tbsp, heaped sugar
  • 1 tsp, leveled salt
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Combine the flour with the baking powder and stir into the buttermilk. Stir in the egg yolks, oil, sugar, and salt one at a time. Heat the oil in a pan. Add 1 tablespoon of batter to each pancake and fry it on both sides. Serve with applesauce, fresh berries, or the classic cinnamon and sugar topping.
