Baked pear with blue cheese and walnuts

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 2 pears, fresh
  • 4 tbsp blue cheese
  • 4 tbsp walnuts
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 slice(s) rusk
  • 1 head of iceberg lettuce or Lollo Rosso
  • Extra virgin olive oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Peel the pears and halve them lengthwise. Remove the cores. Preheat oven to 200°C. Place the pear halves on a baking sheet, open side up. Crumble the blue cheese and mix with the walnuts. Season with salt and pepper. Place 1 tablespoon of the mixture into each pear half. Crumble the rusk slice and sprinkle the crumbs over the pear filling. Bake in the oven for about 10 minutes. Line the plates with the washed lettuce. Drizzle with olive oil and place the hot pear on top. Serve with freshly baked ciabatta.
