Mulled wine

Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 1 liter blackcurrant juice
  • 125 g raisins
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp ginger powder
  • 1 tsp cloves
  • 150 g sugar
  • 2 liters of red wine
  • 250 ml vodka

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

according to a Scandinavian recipe

Bring the currant juice, spices, and raisins to a boil. I always put the cloves in a tea strainer to make them easier to filter out. Then add the red wine and vodka and heat the whole thing up again. But don’t boil it, just heat it up. This mulled wine is so delicious, it shouldn’t be missing from any mulled wine party!
