Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 2 large apples
  • 2 tbsp almonds, chopped
  • 2 tbsp raisins
  • e.g. lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 100 g butter, soft

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 40 minutes; Total time approx. 55 minutes

Preheat the oven to 220°C. Core the apples and drizzle with lemon juice to prevent them from browning. Mix the softened butter with the almonds and raisins. Season to taste with powdered sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice. Pour the butter mixture into the apples and place them in a baking dish. Place in the oven and roast for about 40 minutes. Halfway through the roasting time, cover with aluminum foil to prevent the apples from burning. Baste the baked apples with the melted butter and arrange on plates. Serve immediately. Serve with vanilla ice cream.
