Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 4 large apples
  • 20 g raisins
  • 160 g marzipan
  • 50 g butter, melted
  • ½ liter of milk
  • 50 g sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 20 g gingerbread spice

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 50 minutes

Wash the apples and remove the cores with an apple corer. Slightly widen the top opening. Fill with marzipan and raisins, place on a prepared baking sheet, and drizzle with butter. Bake in a preheated oven at 150°C (top/bottom heat) for about 30 minutes. Meanwhile, for the gingerbread sauce, first bring the milk and gingerbread spice to a boil. Whisk the eggs and sugar together, then gradually add the hot milk and simmer over medium heat until the apples form a rose. Arrange the finished baked apple on a plate, decorate as desired, and drizzle with the still-hot gingerbread sauce.
