Green spelt meatballs

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 250 g green spelt, crushed
  • ¾ liter vegetable broth
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 1 tbsp oat flakes, fine
  • salt and pepper
  • Parsley
  • chives
  • marjoram
  • Fat or oil for frying
  • breadcrumbs

Instructions

Working time approx. 45 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

Cook the green spelt groats in vegetable broth for about 20 minutes until tender. Transfer to a bowl. Season well with salt and pepper and add chopped herbs such as marjoram, parsley, and chives. Add the egg and finely ground oats. Knead all ingredients thoroughly and form into meatballs. Coat in breadcrumbs and fry slowly in oil or butter.
