Sesame potatoes

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 kg potato(s), waxy
  • Salt
  • sesame
  • oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

Wash the potatoes thoroughly and cut them in half lengthwise. (Don’t use potatoes that are too large.) Brush a baking sheet or large casserole dish with oil or line it with baking paper. Place the potatoes on the baking sheet (cut-side up), brush with oil, season well with salt, and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Add just under a cup of water to the dish (on the baking sheet) and bake at 200 degrees Celsius (top and bottom heat) or 170 degrees Celsius (convection oven). Check the baking sheet occasionally to see if there is any water left. The potatoes will be done after about 50-60 minutes. This depends a little on the type of potato used. You may want to check with a sharp knife or fork. Serve with a yogurt sauce with plenty of chives, a little garlic, pepper, and salt, and of course, salad.
