Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 600 g leek
  • 200 g pasta (vermicelli or spaghetti)
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 cup of cream
  • 200 g cheese (Gouda)
  • Salt
  • pepper
  • nutmeg

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Trim and wash the leeks, removing any dark green parts. Cut into matchstick-thin sticks. Place them in boiling salted water for 2 minutes. Rinse with cold water, place in a colander, and drain. Cook the pasta in salted water until it still has a bite. If desired, cook in chicken stock instead of salted water. Then drain and let it drain. Heat the butter and cream in a saucepan. Add the coarsely grated cheese. Stir with a whisk until well combined. Season with salt, pepper, and nutmeg. Mix the pasta and leeks and transfer to an ovenproof dish. Pour the sauce over the pasta. Grill at 250°C for 10 minutes.
