Ingredients for 5 servings:

  • 0.2 liters of cloudy apple juice
  • 4 grapefruits
  • 6 oranges
  • 0.4 liters of mulled wine
  • 1 stalk(s) cinnamon
  • 2 cloves
  • 5 cl syrup (blackberry, grenadine or elderberry)
  • n. B. Rum
  • 500 g gelling sugar, 2:1

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 55 minutes

Juice the grapefruit and oranges and bring to a boil with the apple juice, cinnamon, and cloves. Simmer on low heat for about 20 minutes. Now add the mulled wine, syrup, and rum; the total should now be about 1 liter. Let everything cool. Once the mixture has cooled to about lukewarm, add the gelling sugar and bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Remove the cloves and cinnamon stick and season to taste. After about 3 minutes, the jam can be poured into jars that have been rinsed with hot water.
