After Eight Stars

The perfect after eight stars recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 50 g After Eight or other peppermint chocolate
  • 250 g Flour
  • 50 g Sugar
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 150 g Butter
  • 1 Egg yolk
  • 50 g Dark chocolate couverture
  • 50 g After Eight or other peppermint chocolate
  • 10 g Palmin
  • 2 Centiliters Peppermint liqueur
  • 100 g Dark chocolate couverture
  • 10 g Palmin
  1. Break the chocolate into pieces. Melt over a water bath that is not too hot. Allow to cool slightly.
  2. Sift the flour into a bowl. Add sugar, salt, butter in pieces, egg yolks and finally the peppermint chocolate. Knead everything into a smooth dough. Wrap the dough in cling film and place in the refrigerator for about an hour.
  3. Roll out the dough on a little flour. Cut out stars of different sizes (or any other shape). Place on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Bake in the oven at 200 degrees for about 7 to 10 minutes. Remove from oven and allow to cool.
  4. Melt the couverture with peppermint chocolate and palmin over a water bath that is not too hot. Take off the water bath. Stir in the liqueur. Allow to cool slightly.
  5. Draw the mass on a star and put a second on it. Press something down.
  6. Melt the couverture with Palmin over a water bath that is not too hot. Cover the stars with it and decorate as you wish. Let dry.
