Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 300 ml lemonade (Almdudler)
  • 300 ml ketchup
  • 2 tsp mustard seeds, crushed
  • 1 tsp pepper mixture, e.g. 9 Pepper Symphony from Ankerkraut)
  • 1 tsp Pul Biber
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup sugar, brown
  • 1 tsp salad herbs

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 10 minutes

Lemonade with a twist

First, heat the pepper mixture with the pul biber and the crushed mustard seeds in a little clarified butter. Then deglaze with the lemonade, add the sugar, and simmer over low heat for about 60 minutes. If you plan to use it on your ribs, for example, only let it simmer briefly so the sauce doesn’t get too thick. Then stir in the ketchup and add the salt and salad greens. The sauce is ready! It can also be easily stored in jars and refrigerated.
