delicious cookies, also suitable as great Christmas cookies

Before mixing the ingredients, pour hot water over the walnuts in a bowl to make them easier to peel. Once the nuts are shelled, chop the nuts and chocolate into small pieces. Preheat the oven to 175°C. Mix the butter with the powdered sugar, brown sugar, and egg (thoroughly!!) (preferably in a mixer). Add the flour to this mixture and mix for 2 minutes. Add the nuts and chocolate and mix again. Drop the finished cookie dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, using a teaspoon (the smaller the portions, the more cookies you’ll get, thus reducing the baking time). Don’t place the cookies too close together on the parchment paper, or they’ll stick together in the oven during baking and spread out. Reduce the preheated oven to 160°C and bake the cookies on the middle rack until golden brown (about 12 minutes, but the baking time depends on the size of the cookies!!!). Remove from the oven and let cool for 5 minutes to allow them to crisp up. If you don’t like walnuts or chocolate, you can substitute other nuts, raisins, or other dried fruit.
