Anise – Cherry Loops

Ingredients
 

For the dough

  • 75 g Margarine
  • 200 g Wheat flour
  • 50 g Food starch
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 tsp Baking soda heaped
  • 1 tsp Ground anise
  • 75 g Whipped cream
  • 75 g Sugar

For the glaze

  • 150 g Powdered sugar
  • 4 tbsp Cherry juice

Instructions
 

  • Make a smooth dough from the ingredients. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
  • Roll out the dough to approx. 51x15 cm. Then cut into 34 strips 1.5x15cm. Form loops and place on a baking sheet lined with baking paper.
  • Bake in a preheated oven at 190 ^ C top and bottom heat for about 15 - 20 minutes. During this time, mix the powdered sugar with the cherry juice.
  • As soon as the loops are out of the oven, brush the glaze on them while they are still hot. Dry and let cool.
