Anise – Cherry Loops

The perfect anise – cherry loops recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

For the dough

  • 75 g Margarine
  • 200 g Wheat flour
  • 50 g Food starch
  • 1 piece Egg
  • 1 tsp Baking soda heaped
  • 1 tsp Ground anise
  • 75 g Whipped cream
  • 75 g Sugar

For the glaze

  • 150 g Powdered sugar
  • 4 tbsp Cherry juice
  1. Make a smooth dough from the ingredients. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
  1. Roll out the dough to approx. 51×15 cm. Then cut into 34 strips 1.5x15cm. Form loops and place on a baking sheet lined with baking paper.
  1. Bake in a preheated oven at 190 ^ C top and bottom heat for about 15 – 20 minutes. During this time, mix the powdered sugar with the cherry juice.
  1. As soon as the loops are out of the oven, brush the glaze on them while they are still hot. Dry and let cool.
