Apple and pear jam with Amaretto

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 700 g apples, prepared and weighed
  • 650 g pear(s), prepared and weighed
  • 150 ml Amaretto
  • 1 pack of citric acid
  • 500 g gelling sugar 3:1

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 3 minutes; Total time approx. 23 minutes

for approx. 10 preserving jars of 200 ml each

Peel, core, and finely chop the apples and pears. Place the apples and pears in a saucepan with the citric acid and mix well with the gelling sugar. Bring everything to a boil over high heat while stirring and simmer for at least 3 minutes. At the end of the cooking time, stir in the Amaretto and test for setting. Immediately fill the jam to the brim in the hot, rinsed jars and seal them airtight. Makes approximately 10 200 ml jars.
