Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 6 large apples or pears
- 500 g sugar
- Clove powder
- Allspice, ground
- 2 tsp cinnamon powder
- 50 g cocoa powder
- 125 ml rum
- 300 g nuts, ground
- 300 g raisins
- 300 g fig(s)
- Lemon zest, grated from 1 lemon
- 1 kg flour
- 2 packets of baking powder
Instructions
Working time approx. 40 minutes; Rest time approx. 12 hours; Total time approx. 12 hours 40 minutes

Grate the apples or pears. Place them in a large bowl with the sugar, cinnamon, clove powder, allspice, cocoa, rum, nuts, lemon zest, raisins, and chopped figs. Mix and let stand overnight. The next day, thoroughly mix the mixture with 1 kg of flour and 2 sachets of baking powder. Pour the batter into loaf pans and bake at 180°C for 80 minutes.
