Apple Pie with Chocolate and Cinnamon

The perfect apple pie with chocolate and cinnamon recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • For the dough:
  • 300 g Flour
  • 1 packet Baking powder
  • 180 g Sugar white
  • 200 Milliliters Buttermilk
  • 1 packet Vanilla sugar
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • For the filling:
  • 1 Apple
  • 0,5 teaspoon Ground cinnamon
  • 80 g Sugar white
  • 100 g Chocolate droplets
  • 100 g Flaked almonds
  • 1 teaspoon Cocoa powder
  • 1 packet Vanilla sugar
  • 200 Milliliters Cream
  1. Mix the flour with the baking powder and make a batter with sugar, eggs, buttermilk, vanilla sugar and salt. Peel the apple, remove the core and cut into small cubes. Divide the dough in half.
  2. Stir the apple cubes and cinnamon under one half. Stir the cocoa and chocolate droplets into the other half. Pour the dark batter into the prepared springform pan. Carefully distribute the light dough on the dark dough. Mix the almond flakes with the sugar and vanilla sugar and spread on the dough.
  3. Place the cake in the (fan-assisted) oven preheated to 180 degrees and bake for about 45 minutes. After the baking time, take it out of the oven, spread the cream on top and bake for another 5 – 8 minutes. Now take out of the oven, let cool down for 20 minutes, remove the edge of the springform pan and let cool down.
