Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 6 large apples with peel
  • 2 lemon(s), the juice
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 liter of water
  • possibly cinnamon
  • possibly anise
  • possibly fennel

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 15 minutes

Grandma’s recipe

Wash the apples, remove the cores and blossom tips. Cut into pieces. Pour over the juice of two lemons. Boil the water, then pour in the apple pieces. Sweeten with honey and let it steep for about an hour. Strain through a sieve. You can also change the flavor with cinnamon, anise, fennel, etc. Drink it warm or cold. I don’t know if it really helps with colds, but it tastes delicious.
