Baked apple with almond filling

Spread the love

Ingredients for 5 servings:

  • 5 apples (Boskoop)
  • 200 g almonds, ground or hazelnuts
  • 100 g raisins
  • 50 g marzipan – raw mass
  • 3 tbsp cream
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • Gingerbread spice
  • Cinnamon

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Wash the apples and remove the core with an apple corer, then hollow them out. Mix the almonds with raisins (if you don’t like raisins, you can leave them out), marzipan, honey, cream, and vanilla sugar. Season with gingerbread spice, cinnamon, cream, and honey. Fill the cored apples with the mixture, place them in a baking dish, and bake at 190 degrees Celsius (375 degrees Fahrenheit) with top and bottom heat for about 30-40 minutes. The best way to tell if the apple is cooked through is to use a skewer to check. Serve with vanilla ice cream or vanilla sauce.
