Thyme liqueur

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 20 g lemon(s), grated peel
  • 10 g thyme (depending on the desired intensity)
  • 7 g cinnamon
  • 1 vanilla pod(s)
  • 5 g coriander and 5 g mace
  • 0.7 liters of schnapps (e.g. Weizenkorn)
  • 700 g sugar
  • 350 ml water

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

particularly wintery spice mix

Combine all the spices with the liquor in a large glass bottle (not plastic, as the liqueur will absorb the plastic flavor!) and let it steep for at least two weeks. Then strain the liquid. Boil the sugar with water until completely dissolved and let it cool again. Dilute the mixture with this sugar syrup (the amount of sugar can be varied depending on the desired strength). It looks especially pretty afterward if you add another sprig of fresh thyme to the bottle.
