Baked apples Turkish style

Ingredients for 8 servings:

  • 8 large apples
  • 200 g sugar
  • 300 g raisins
  • ½ lemon(s)
  • Cinnamon
  • 150 g butter
  • 1 jar white wine
  • 1 cup of cream

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Preheat oven to medium heat. To prepare, peel the apples and core them using a corer. Spray or moisten the raisins with the juice of half a lemon, add the sugar and cinnamon, and mix well. Fill the apples with the raisin mixture. Brush a deep glass dish or baking dish with a little butter and place the apples in it. Cut the remaining butter into cubes or slices and spread evenly over the apples, then pour over the white wine. Bake at medium heat for about 40-50 minutes. Before serving, lightly whip the cream with a mixer (do not whip until stiff peaks form!) and pour it over the apples, garnishing with a few raisins.
