Baked asparagus toast

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 4 small turkey schnitzels
  • 4 slices of toast, large (American sandwich style)
  • 1 pack of processed cheese (e.g. sliced ​​cheese)
  • 250 ml hollandaise sauce
  • 20 stalk(s) asparagus, white
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Peel the asparagus, trim the ends, and cook for about 15-20 minutes. Fry the turkey schnitzels on both sides and season with salt and pepper. Meanwhile, toast the slices of toast in the toaster, not too hot. Distribute the cooked schnitzels on the toast, along with the cooked asparagus. Cover the toast with a generous layer of cheese and bake in the oven for about 10 minutes. In the meantime, prepare the hollandaise sauce. Arrange the asparagus slices on the toast and drizzle generously with the hollandaise sauce.
