Ingredients for 8 servings:

  • 8 rolls
  • 2 m.-sized onion(s)
  • 800 g minced meat, half and half
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 3 m.-large tomato(s)
  • 150 g cheese (Emmental), grated
  • salt and pepper
  • Paprika powder

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Cut a lid off each roll. Hollow out the rolls and soak the insides in a little water. Peel and finely chop the onions. Squeeze out the soaked insides. Knead them with the minced meat and onions. Season generously with salt, pepper, and paprika. Heat oil in a pan. Fry the minced meat for 5 minutes until crumbly. Wash, quarter, deseed, and dice the tomatoes. Fill the rolls with the minced meat mixture. Sprinkle with diced tomatoes and cheese. Place on a baking tray lined with baking paper. Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C for approx. 12 minutes. After 10 minutes, put the lids on and bake with the rolls. A hit at any party!
