Baked quinces

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 4 quinces, halved
  • 250 g quark
  • 30 g butter
  • 5 tbsp honey
  • 120 g walnuts, roughly chopped
  • 1 tsp orange peel, grated
  • 1 tbsp vanilla sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

with quark and walnut filling

Grate the quinces, halve lengthwise, remove the core, and place them cut-side up on a baking sheet. Bake for about 15 minutes in a preheated oven at 200 degrees Celsius. Mix the quark, honey, vanilla sugar, walnuts, and orange zest. Remove the quinces from the oven, fill them with the quark mixture, and scatter the butter over them. Bake for another 10 minutes.
