Baked schnitzel

Spread the love

Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • some flour
  • Spice mix (Chinese spice)
  • 6 turkey escalopes, or pork
  • 2 cups whipped cream
  • 1 pack of cheese (young Gouda slices)
  • Fondor

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 1 hour 10 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 30 minutes

Take a baking dish. Sprinkle the bottom lightly with flour, just lightly covering it, not too much. Then add Chinese seasoning. Place the schnitzels in the baking dish. Sprinkle with Chinese seasoning and a little more flour. Place the sliced cheese on top of the schnitzels, sandwiching them together a little, or even overlapping them a bit. Now whip the cream and add some Fondor. Pour the stiffly whipped cream over the cheese and spread it evenly. Place the whole thing in the preheated oven. First at full heat. Bake until the cheese starts to brown, then reduce the temperature to about 150°C and bake for another 60 minutes. Serve with coleslaw and white bread. You can, of course, vary it with something else. We like it best this way.
