Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 4 pork schnitzels
- salt and pepper
- n. B. Flour
- 1 m.-sized egg(s)
- e.g. breadcrumbs
- 1 cup processed cheese with herbs
- 4 small tomatoes
- 4 slices of cheese (e.g. Edam) for gratinating
Instructions
Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes
Salt and pepper the schnitzels on both sides, coat them in flour and egg. Then coat them in breadcrumbs and fry them in plenty of fat. Place the cooked schnitzels on a baking sheet lined with baking paper or aluminum foil and spread with the cream cheese. Thinly slice the tomatoes and place them on top. Cut the cheese into pieces to fit the schnitzels and place them on top. Preheat the oven to the grill setting and bake the schnitzels at approximately 200°C. The schnitzels are done when the cheese has melted. Serve with either French fries or croquettes.
