Banana waffles

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 125 g butter or margarine
  • 150 g sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • ¼ liter milk or cream
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 250 g flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 banana(s), ripe
  • 3 tbsp cinnamon and sugar
  • 1 bottle of butter-vanilla flavoring
  • Margarine for greasing the waffle iron
  • powdered sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Mix butter, sugar, eggs, salt, vanilla sugar, milk or cream together in a bowl. Then add the flour and baking powder. First, mash the banana(s) well with a fork so that you can stir them into the batter. Then, if desired, distribute about 3 tablespoons of the cinnamon-sugar mixture into the batter. To enhance the vanilla flavor, add a bottle of butter and vanilla extract, and you’re done. Now all you have to do is grease the waffle iron with plenty of margarine (using a kitchen brush) to make the waffle easier to remove from the oven. The waffle should be slightly browned after baking. Finally, let the waffle cool slightly on a wire rack and, if desired, sprinkle with powdered sugar or serve with ice cream and/or whipped cream.
