Bananas in puff pastry, savory

Ingredients for 8 servings:

  • 8 slice(s) puff pastry, frozen, square
  • 8 banana(s), small
  • 4 tbsp mustard (not sweet!)
  • 1 tbsp cream
  • 1 onion(s), very finely chopped
  • ½ tsp curry
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 egg(s), for brushing
  • Tabasco

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

Thaw the puff pastry. Mix together the mustard, cream, and onion (I omit the onion) and season with curry, pepper, salt, and Tabasco. Spread onto the puff pastry squares. Brush the edges with egg white. Place the bananas on the pastry discs and wrap them in the batter. Pierce the pastry several times, brush with egg yolk, and place on a baking sheet rinsed with cold water. Bake in a preheated oven at 220°C for about 20 minutes.
