Bayern Burger with Meat Loaf
The perfect bayern burger with meat loaf recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 4 Pretzel rolls
- 2 Discs Liver or meat loaf
- 1 Can Wine sauerkraut 314 ml
- 1 small Onion
- 2 tablespoon Oil
- 2 Juniper berries as needed
- 3 Stalks of chopped parsley
- Salt, ground pepper, a little sugar
- 4 teaspoon Mustard possibly also sweet mustard
- 4 teaspoon Creme fraiche Cheese
- 4 teaspoon Roasted onions
- Possibly lettuce leaves and cherry tomatoes
- Peel the onions, dice finely and sauté in 1 tablespoon of hot oil. Add the sauerkraut and sauté briefly. Add juniper berries (if you like) and possibly 4-5 tablespoons of water and stew the cabbage for 15-20 minutes. Then season with salt, pepper and sugar and drain a little if necessary.
- Cut the liver or meat cheese slices in half. Heat the rest of the oil and fry the slices in it on both sides for about 2 minutes.
- Cut the rolls open, coat the lower halves with mustard and top with liver or meat loaf and sauerkraut. Mix the creme fraiche until smooth and pour 1 teaspoon on each. Sprinkle the whole thing with fried onions and parsley and cover with the top halves of the bun.
- Serve the Bayern burgers with lettuce leaves and tomatoes.
