Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 shot of vinegar (e.g. raspberry or apple cider vinegar)
  • 150 ml apple juice
  • 150 g ketchup
  • 2 pinch(s) chili powder / cayenne powder
  • 1 dashes Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 dashes soy sauce
  • 1 pinch(s) of pepper
  • 1 pinch(s) smoked salt

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Peel the onion and garlic. Dice the onion and sauté in a pan with oil until translucent. Add the crushed garlic and let it cook briefly. Add the honey and deglaze with the fruit vinegar and apple juice. Add the ketchup and spices. Let it reduce slightly and adjust the seasoning if necessary. This sauce is best enjoyed with spare ribs and all kinds of steaks.
