Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g beans, green
  • 750 g potatoes, floury
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 200 g bacon, streaky
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 liter chicken broth
  • 1 bunch of savory
  • Salt and pepper, freshly ground

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Bean and potato soup

Trim and halve the beans. Peel and dice the potatoes. Peel and finely chop the garlic. Dice the bacon. Heat the butter. Sauté the bacon and garlic. Add the stock and bring to a boil. Add the beans, potatoes, and savory. Simmer for another 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Season to taste with salt, pepper, and savory.
