Bini's special coffee with lemon

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 lemon(s) or bergamot
  • 500 ml water
  • 1 pinch of spice mix (coffee spice)
  • 1 tsp agave syrup
  • 1 cup of coffee or 2 tsp instant coffee powder, decaffeinated if desired

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Rest time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes

Cut four thumbnail-sized pieces of lemon or bergamot peel and place them in a large cup. Then pour in a little boiling water and let stand for 20 to 30 minutes to allow the lemon or bergamot aroma to develop. Then add agave syrup and coffee spice and pour over hot filter coffee, or add 2 teaspoons of instant coffee powder and pour over boiling water. Note: I use Sonnentor coffee spice, which is a blend of cardamom, cinnamon, ginger, cloves, allspice, and mace.
