Bircher muesli à la Carina

Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 1 ½ cups oat flakes, wholegrain
  • ½ cup raisins or cranberries
  • 1 tbsp, heaped flaxseed, crushed
  • 1 cup of milk
  • ½ cup sweet cream
  • 200 g vanilla yogurt
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 apple

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Rest time approx. 8 hours; Total time approx. 8 hours 10 minutes

Start in the evening and enjoy in the morning

Place the oats, flaxseeds, raisins and/or cranberries, and vanilla yogurt in a bowl. Combine the milk and cream in a mug and dissolve the sugar and honey in it. Pour this over the other ingredients and stir well. It’s best to start the mixture and refrigerate it overnight, as the oats need a few hours to infuse. The next day, add a chopped apple, and you have the most delicious muesli in the world. Note: I don’t use mugs, but rather 200-250 ml cups. The amount of sugar and honey can, of course, vary depending on how sweet you like it. Of course, you can add other fruits to the muesli if you like.
