Blackberry sauce

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 ½ liters of blackberry juice (thawed or freshly squeezed)
  • ½ liter lemon juice (thawed or freshly squeezed) without it it will be too sweet!
  • 1.4 kg gelling sugar (regular)

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

according to mother’s original recipe – very tasty with pudding, yogurt and quark dishes

Bring the ingredients together to a boil and simmer for 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Then remove from the heat and pour directly into the beverage bottles. Cover the filled bottles with foil soaked in alcohol and seal them airtight with the screw cap. Done. It’s not possible to specify the exact portions, as this depends on the size of the bottles used. It’s also difficult to give a specific time, as we always process and juice the blackberries when they’re cheap. The cooled juice is then frozen. The sauce is usually not made until November so that the finished fruit sauce can be given as a Christmas present. This also applies to the lemon juice.
