Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 500 g currants
  • 700 ml vodka
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 150 g sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Wash the currants and drain well. Place them in a large container with the sugar and vanilla sugar. Pour in the vodka and let it steep for at least 6-8 weeks. Then filter and bottle. Seal tightly and let the liqueur rest in a cool place for a few weeks before serving. Tip: If you like it spicier, add a pinch of ground cloves and a pinch of anise, or a leaf of peppermint and/or lemon balm. It’s advisable to add the sugar after filtering; feel free to filter frequently.
