Every girl at least once in her life faced a situation where there is no shampoo on hand, but you need to wash her hair. Of course, purchasing dry shampoo is ideal in such a case, but if it is not available – we have to get out of it.
Baking soda is the best way to wash your head without shampooing
Baking soda is one of the options that people used in the days when there was not yet such a variety of hair care products. If this method works for you, write down the recipe:
- Dissolve 400 grams of baking soda in 3 liters of warm water;
- dip your hair into the solution and after three minutes lift your head;
- lightly massage the strands, but do not ruffle them;
- dry the hair in the usual way.
An alternative recipe is to make a mixture of baking soda and water and apply it to the scalp and hair, massaging it slightly. As a rinse can be used apple cider vinegar diluted in a water.
How to wash your hair with soap and herbs
Another option is to wash your head with ordinary soap. You can take an ordinary soap, soap your head, and then rinse with hot water, but this method is not recommended by trichologists – there is a chance to get an irritated scalp and dry hair. It is better to use liquid soap, add to it an infusion of herbs (for example, chamomile), as well as a few drops of peach, castor, or lavender oil. Lather your head with this mixture and rinse with water.
Washing hair without shampoo – folk recipes with egg
Cleaning the curls with the help of chicken eggs was invented a long time ago, but in this method, it is important to take into account that for the procedure you need to take only yolks. The instructions are simple:
- 1 chicken yolk;
- 50 ml of lemon juice.
Rub the resulting mixture into the hair and scalp, and then rinse with water. If you want to make your hair smoother, then add 1 / 4 cup of cucumber juice and 2 tablespoons of unrefined olive oil to the improvised shampoo. Rinse your hair with apple cider vinegar.
Shampoo with mustard or mustard powder
Another folk remedy – is mustard or mustard powder in an amount of 2 tbsp. diluted in 500 ml of water. The resulting solution is applied to the hair, massaged to the head, then rinse with water and apple cider vinegar.
Washing hair with sour milk or kefir
For this recipe, you will need not only dairy products but also yeast in raw form. Kefir can take any fat content – it is useful for hair in principle, able to strengthen them and infuse them with necessary substances.
Yeast and kefir (or yogurt) combine in a bowl, heated in a water bath, and wait until the mixture turns into jelly. Then apply it to the hair, wait an hour, and rinse with warm water.
