The issue of scalp hygiene is quite individual, it depends on the characteristics of the human body and its functioning.

The very first consequences of impaired skin cleanliness in a person with oily hair are the appearance and disgusting odor that will be remembered forever. However, for owners of dry skin types, the consequences are no better. The hair looks like a washcloth and sticks out in different directions.

The frequency of shampooing is different for everyone. In order to understand how many times you need to wash your hair, it is enough to focus on two factors.

Skin type – if you have oily skin and your hair looks dirty quickly, you shouldn’t wash your hair every day. The best solution is to cleanse your head every other day.

If you have normal to dry skin, it’s perfectly fine to wash your hair twice a week.

Hair structure – dense and curly hair does not allow sebum to spread quickly through the hair, and therefore does not require frequent washing, which cannot be said about the porous and dry hair structure. In this case, you should be guided by your feelings, but not upset the balance.
