Blueberry dip à la Gabi

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • ½ tsp mustard seeds
  • ½ tsp peppercorns, white
  • ½ tsp coriander seeds
  • 1 clove(s)
  • 1 small piece(s) of cinnamon stick(s)
  • 70 g shallot(s), finely diced
  • 1 garlic clove(s), squeezed
  • ½ chili pepper(s), red, pitted, finely diced
  • 500 g blueberries, frozen
  • 60 g brown sugar
  • 75 ml apple cider vinegar

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 45 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour

Crush the mustard seeds, peppercorns, coriander, cloves, and cinnamon in a mortar and pestle. Combine the shallots, garlic, chili pepper, blueberries, sugar, vinegar, and the crushed spices in a saucepan, bring to a boil, and then simmer over low heat for about 30 minutes. Strain through a fine-mesh sieve, return to the pan, simmer until thickened, and let cool. Delicious with stir-fries.
