Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 50 g butter, melted
- 1 pinch of salt
- 4 tbsp sugar
- 3 eggs
- 500 g quark
- 50 g flour
- 25 g breadcrumbs
- 100 g butter
- Cinnamon and sugar
Instructions
Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes
Combine melted butter with salt, sugar, eggs, and quark. Stir in the flour and breadcrumbs. Bring lightly salted water to a boil in a large saucepan. Using two wet spoons, form dumplings and let them simmer for 10 minutes over reduced heat. Toss in butter in a pan, sprinkle with cinnamon sugar, and serve. Serve with cherry or plum compote. If serving the quark dumplings as a dessert, halve the quantities.
