Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 10 stale rolls, sliced
  • ¼ liter milk, lukewarm
  • 4 eggs
  • ½ tsp lovage, dried, crushed
  • ¼ tsp allspice, ground
  • ¼ tsp white pepper
  • 2 tsp parsley, dried, grated
  • 1 onion(s), diced
  • 40 g butter
  • Salt
  • nutmeg
  • Water (salt water)

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Place the rolls in a bowl and pour over the milk, then add the eggs and seasonings. Sauté the onion in the hot butter, add to the roll mixture, mix well, and let the dough rest for a short time. Shape the roll mixture into dumplings with moistened hands, then let it rest in boiling salted water for about 20 minutes.
