The perfect bread / rolls: spelled apple bread recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 200 g Wholemeal spelled flour
- 200 g Spelled flour type 630
- 100 g Wheat flour type 550
- 1 packet Natural sourdough liquid in a bag
- 0,5 cube Yeast fresh
- 10 g Salt
- 100 ml Lukewarm water
- 3 piece Grated apple
- Mix the types of flour with the salt. Crumble the yeast and add to the flour together with the sourdough.
- Mix well. Now add the grated apples and keep stirring.
- Now slowly pour in water in small portions. Keep stirring vigorously (kitchen machine) and immediately stop adding water as soon as the dough comes off the bowl.
- Knead for another 7-10 minutes.
- Cover the dough (in a bowl) with a hot, damp cloth and let rise overnight at room temperature.
- The next day, generously sprinkle a glass dish (with a lid) with flour – so that you don’t need a chisel after baking – and put the dough, which is shaped into a ball, in it.
- Sprinkle with a little flour and make a cut.
- Bake in the preheated oven at 220 degrees for about 30 minutes with the lid closed.
- Reduce the temperature to 200 degrees, remove the lid and bake for another 20 minutes. Put a bowl of water in the pipe and spray or brush the bread with salted water.
