Bulgur salad

Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 200 g bulgur
  • 1 onion(s)
  • e.g. parsley, fresh or dried
  • e.g. mint, preferably fresh
  • 1 bell pepper(s)
  • ½ cucumber(s)
  • 2 tomatoes
  • ½ iceberg lettuce
  • n. B. Salt
  • 4 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 tbsp lemon juice

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Rest time approx. 2 hours 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 2 hours 40 minutes

Wash the bulgur, cover with water, bring to a boil briefly, and let it steep for 20 minutes. Wash, trim, and chop the onion, cucumber, bell pepper, iceberg lettuce, and tomatoes. Mix everything into the bulgur. Then add the lemon juice, a little salt, chopped mint, parsley, and olive oil. Let it steep in the refrigerator for 2 hours.
