Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 250 ml buttermilk
  • 120 g sugar
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp rum
  • 1 pack of gelatin
  • 1 cup of cream

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Rest time approx. 4 hours; Total time approx. 4 hours 20 minutes

In a bowl, mix the sour cream with the sugar, rum, and lemon juice until the sugar has completely dissolved. Whip the cream in a tall mixing bowl until stiff peaks form and set aside. Prepare the gelatin according to the package instructions and fold it into the sour cream and sugar mixture. The gelatin is easier to incorporate if you first mix 1-2 tablespoons of the mixture into the still-warm gelatin and then stir it into the main mixture. Finally, carefully fold in the whipped cream and refrigerate the mixture for about 4 hours. Fresh strawberries or raspberry puree go very well with this.
