Buttermilk soup

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 4 tbsp flour
  • 20 g butter
  • 1 liter buttermilk
  • Salt
  • dill
  • chives
  • Bread(s) (black bread)

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Prepare a light roux, bring to a boil with buttermilk, and add salt. Serve over finely chopped dill, chives, and toasted brown bread slices. For a sweetened version, fry semolina in butter and cook with buttermilk. If desired, add currants and sugar.
