Cake: Apple Cake with Crunchy Crumble …

The perfect cake: apple cake with crunchy crumble … recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 1 medium sized Springform pan
  • 200 g Marzipan raw mass
  • 175 g Soft butter
  • 250 g Sugar
  • 2 packet Vanilla sugar
  • 3 piece Eggs size M room temperature
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 450 g Wheat flour
  • 2 tsp Baking powder
  • 1 kg Apples
  • 1 size Lemon, juice
  • 30 g Ground almonds peeled
  • 100 g Butter liquid warm

For covering…

  1. 1 …. peel the apples, cut them into cubes and drizzle with the lemon juice.

For the dough….

  1. 2 …. coarsely chop the raw marzipan mixture, mix with 175 g soft butter, gradually stir in 175 g sugar and 1 packet of vanilla sugar as well as the salt.
  2. Then gradually add the eggs. Preheat the oven to 175 degrees (hot air = 150 degrees – but NOT preheated).
  3. Mix the baking powder with 300 g of wheat flour, sieve and stir in as well.

For the crunchy crumble …

  1. 5 ….. Sieve 150 g of wheat flour, add 75 g of sugar, 1 packet of vanilla sugar, ground almonds and the liquid warm butter to a bowl. Using the mixer (dough hook) on LOWEST LEVtbsp, carefully knead into sprinkles and place in the refrigerator for 15 minutes.

For the baking process ….

  1. 6 … spread the cake batter into the springform pan that has been greased on the bottom, place the apple pieces on top and sprinkle with the crumble.
  2. Put the springform pan in the hot oven and bake there at 175 degrees for about 50 to 60 minutes.
