Candied cherries on vanilla cream

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 400 g cherry(s) (jar), unsweetened
  • 20 ml rum (approx. a small shot glass)
  • 5 tbsp sugar
  • 225 g quark (low-fat quark)
  • 250 g low-fat yogurt
  • 60 ml milk, low-fat
  • 1 tbsp vanilla sugar
  • 1 vanilla pod(s)

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

WW – suitable, 3.5 p. per person

Drain the cherries. Then drizzle with rum and let stand for about 10 minutes. Melt the sugar in a pan, add the cherries, and stir to candied consistency. Mix the quark with yogurt, milk, and vanilla sugar. Split the vanilla pod lengthwise, scrape out the seeds with a knife, and stir in. Serve the candied cherries with vanilla cream.
